Lake Como

Lake Como sits in the shadow of the snow-covered Rhaetian Alps, with steep, wooded hills rising from its banks. Many regard it as the most beautiful of all the Italian Lakes thanks to its stunning scenery and peaceful atmosphere.

Along its shoreline you’ll find historic villages and luxurious villas. Villa Balbianello, near to Lenno, is a stunning marriage of splendid architecture and sweeping lake views. It was also the setting for films such as from Star Wars Episode II and the 2006 James Bond film, Casino Royale.

Another striking building not to be missed is the Santuario della Madonna del Soccorso, perched high above Ossuccio, which has been a destination for pilgrims since the 17th century.

Verona

With its ancient old town, Verona has long been a popular destination for history-lovers. As well as seeking out the famous Romeo and Juliet balcony where Shakespeare set his much-celebrated tragedy, you can visit the well-preserved 1st century amphitheatre, many churches and fascinating bridges that span the River Adige.

Milan
