Villa Le Maschere

Villa Le Maschere

Villa Le Maschere offers discerning visitors pure relaxation and luxury in one of Tuscany's most beautiful Renaissance country homes. Built in the second half of the 16th century, and having hosted famous artists, nobleman, sovereigns and even Pope Pius IX, this fascinating property has undergone a five-year restoration to become the magnificent five star resort it is today.

Baroque beauty

Designed in the early baroque style, the building has an ornate stonework exterior, while inside you’ll find opulent frescoes, majolica, sculptures and stuccoes. There are important works of art throughout the complex too, including the decorative stone and plasterwork of Tito Chini, and beautiful frescoes by the painter Francesco Furini.

The large and luxurious rooms and suites are individually decorated and furnished, each with its own unique colour palette. Styled with the grandeur of Villa Le Maschere’s past, the accommodation provides all the comforts and amenities you would expect from an exclusive resort.

Set your senses alive

Indulging the senses is a theme that runs throughout Villa Le Maschere. The resort offers a choice of three restaurants serving modern Tuscan cuisine in elegant surroundings, and guests can also take advantage of the wellness centre offering saunas, Turkish baths, Jacuzzis and a full range of indulgent massages and treatments.

From the main building, the lush grounds sweep down to two fabulous swimming pools, then on to the Bilancino lake. In the 18-acre parkland, guests will find enticing vistas, intriguing pathways and a host of thoughtfully-positioned resting places from which to appreciate the amazing views. Sit back, relax and enjoy the heady scent of the impressive range of rare plants and trees, and admire the sheer beauty of this timeless setting.

Offering the very best of both worlds, the hotel's free shuttle bus means visitors can explore the cultural and architectural delights of Florence, and then return to this perfect, bucolic setting
