Vidago Palace Hotel

Vidago Palace Hotel

A truly majestic property, Vidago Palace offers the finest in Portuguese splendour. Famed for its rare mineral water complete with entirely natural bubbles, Vidago is the perfect place to go for some rest, relaxation and pampering. Both Porto and the Alto Douro wine region are each around an hour away from this princely hotel.

La Belle Epoque

Recalling all the glory of La Belle Epoque, rooms and suites at Vidago Palace are designed in classic style for maximum comfort, with all the modern amenities you’d expect for your convenience. All rooms are flooded with natural light, affording you the best possible views over the hills and parkland surrounding the hotel. For total indulgence, book yourself one of the Privilege rooms featuring a living room complete with chaise longue. Our suites, meanwhile, are fit for royalty, with generous living space and opulent décor.

Your choice of dining establishments

The Vidago Palace Hotel’s main restaurant, The Grand Ballroom, offers fine dining in a very special setting indeed. The refined cuisine is inspired by traditional Northern Portuguese dishes, reinvented to cater to the most sophisticated of tastes. Local produce is used and showcased wherever possible. Breakfast is served in the Winter Garden, while the Pool Bar is the perfect daytime pitstop for a refreshing drink or bite to eat. The Wine Cellar is strictly for evenings, serving Spanish tapas and Portuguese snacks alongside fine wines. Five o’clock tea is served in the Four Seasons Room, while The Club House is ideal for golfers - and in fact anyone seeking an informal, relaxed atmosphere.

A Thermal Spa

Many hotels now feature a fabulous spa, but how many can boast a thermal spa? Our location in the thermal region of Vidago, with its naturally sparkling spring water, means we can offer a more unusual spa experience - as well as pampering treatments galore. Vidago Palace is simply glorious.
