Venice Simplon-Orient Express

Venice Simplon-Orient Express

The Venice Simplon-Orient Express is an iconic train known for its art deco design and luxury service. Taking passengers from London to Venice, a trip on this glamorous train will transport you back in time to the golden age of travel

An elegant home from home

Guests can enjoy sumptuous cabins that feature comfortable banquette seats from which to view the scenery, before transforming into bedrooms with crisp sheets and soft lighting at night. Decorated in fine fabrics and glossy wood features, with a variety of modern amenities including soft bathrobes and slippers, these cosy cabins will become your home from home. Cabins can sleep one or two passengers or can be interconnected to form suites. Grand Suites, which are new for 2018, provide top-class luxury with a double bed and seating area with a sofa, table and chairs.

A culinary adventure

The Venice Simplon-Orient Express offers a unique dining experience based on seasonal, local food from various stopping points along the journey. Guests can sample everything from fresh lobsters from Brittany to salt marsh lamb from Mont Saint Michel, cooked to perfection in the kitchen. A celebration breakfast can be enjoyed in the morning, and in the evening there’s a set menu and Champagne Bar serving the finest vintage champagne. Passengers are encouraged to dress glamorously for dinner.

Special occasions

There are a variety of options to make your journey even more special. If you want to enjoy some romance, opt to have champagne and flowers delivered to your cabin, or arrange for your loved one to be serenaded by musicians at the station. On-board magicians will mystify you, and you can even enact the famous ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ story as part of a murder mystery game.
