Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco

Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco

In the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Val d’Orcia, located on a hillside near the traditional village of Montalcino, lies Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. This beautifully preserved, 800-year-old estate offers guests an authentic Tuscan experience in a stunning natural setting.

The hotel is, in effect, a complete village with a historic manor house, an old winery, stables, a church, a priest’s house and numerous other buildings that have all been carefully restored and renovated to create a luxury retreat. The hotel’s heated infinity pool is set on the crest of a hill overlooking wood-clad fields and surrounded by lavender scented gardens, making it a magical place in which to unwind.

Rooms to relax in

The accommodation in the main house is decorated in shades of green, ochre and burgundy, mirroring the ever changing surrounding landscape. Plush and stylish, each room and suite is furnished with antiques and meticulously preserved architectural details. A range of superbly appointed luxury villas, all with their own swimming pool, are spread around the estate offering individual style, space and privacy for larger groups.

Outstanding facilities

The hotel spa offers a sauna, steam bath and a range of indulgent holistic La Prairie treatments. There’s also a gym where yoga and pilates classes are held.

In the two stylish restaurants, Executive Chef Enrico Figliuolo serves classical Italian dishes taking inspiration from several regions, and complemented with produce from the hotel’s organic garden. Cookery classes are also available for guests.

The Rose Buds Club offers special events and activities for children and, for the adults, the on-site winery hosts an array of tasting seminars. Add in the Castiglion del Bosco Golf Club - an impressive course that follows the contours of the gently rolling hills - and every possible holiday wish is fulfilled at this amazing resort.
