Rambagh Palace, Jaipur

Rambagh Palace, Jaipur

The staggeringly opulent Rambagh Palace is not just a palace by name, but a palace in every sense possible too. Built back in 1835, Rambagh Palace is steeped in royal history; it truly is the jewel in the Taj’s crown.

Sheer splendour

The hotel offers 78 rooms, all of which make up the chambers of the former Maharaja. Each room is the epitome of extravagance, decorated to the highest order with hard-carved marble adornments and such elaborate style it really will take your breath away.

As you would expect from such an exclusive hotel, the beauty isn’t just reserved for the rooms and the suites. Every single space in and around the palace is truly remarkable, from lush, beautifully manicured gardens containing stunning floral displays, magical fountains and a croquet lawn to breathtaking restaurants and a virtually flawless and attentive service.

Palatial plates

The magnificence of the Rambagh Palace presents itself in all its grandeur and glory when you take your place for dinner in Suvarna Mahal. Based around the four seasons the opulent chandeliers, enormous rugs and ceiling frescoes of the dining room are equally matched by the sumptuous cuisine.

For a far less formal setting, head to the Rajput restaurant. The standard of the food is still to the level you would expect, however, lighter bites and the option to sit outside overlooking the fantastic grounds is also available.

A moment of pure relaxation

Five-star luxury knows no bounds here and relaxation is all part of the visit. With a beautifully vast indoor swimming pool, whirlpools, saunas and all the other luxurious offerings you’d expect, the spa draws you into its wonderful surroundings. With an amazing range of treatments and a superb yoga pavilion your mind and body are going to feel like royalty when it is time to leave.
