Palazzo Giovanelli

Palazzo Giovanelli

If you’re looking for an elegant hotel in the heart of Venice that offers luxurious comfort and supreme hospitality, Palazzo Giovanelli ticks all the right boxes. Ideally located, the hotel overlooks the Grand Canal, next to San Stae church and near to the famous St. Mark's Square. The building dates back to the 1500s and has a long history of housing notable guests, including Mozart and Frederick Christian IV, the King of Denmark.

Sleep in historic surroundings

Palazzo Giovanelli has a wide range of luxury accommodation with historical features and modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, TV and air conditioning. The loft space offers a romantic space with dormer windows, while standard and superior rooms include stylish furniture, Rubelli fabrics and marble bathrooms. Junior Suites have original features from the 16th century, including exposed ceiling beams and large windows.

For the ultimate in indulgence, deluxe rooms boast views over the canal or the garden, while the Presidential Suite is where the Mozart family once stayed and has been meticulously restored to its original style.

Eating and drinking

The hotel’s dining room serves a range of authentic Italian food in chic surroundings, and the spacious bar has a selection of fine wines and cocktails to choose from. Guests also enjoy a sumptuous buffet breakfast every morning.

Explore romantic Venice

Palazzo Giovanelli is the perfect base from which to explore Venice, one of the world’s most romantic cities. You can travel around the city on foot and get lost down the maze-like streets, or opt for a leisurely gondola ride and soak up the sights from the waterways.
