Nayara Resort Spa & Gardens

Nayara Resort Spa & Gardens

A stay at this sublime retreat constitutes the very best in pampering and relaxation. Located in the Arenal Volcano National Park, surrounded by lush forest and at the very foot of the majestic volcano, seclusion and tranquillity are guaranteed alongside top quality service and heavenly wellness sessions.

Awe-inspiring accommodation

Each of the 50 casitas and villas at Nayara Resort Spa & Gardens is set amongst the verdant foliage, enabling you to enjoy the best of nature from the comforts of your living space. Each Deluxe Casita features its own private garden and balcony, outdoor shower and iPod docking station whilst the spacious and octagonal Rainforest Villas also boast their own jacuzzis, rainfall showers and plasma televisions.

Delectable dining

Nayara Resort Spa & Gardens boasts three excellent restaurants, each with its own unique flare. Enjoy a variety of international cuisine at the open-air Altamira or savour pan-Asian flavours at the wonderful Asia Luna, with its hand-painted tables and authentic Costa Rican style. For something a little more sophisticated, dine at the intimate and elegant Nostalgia, where you will be treated to five mouth-watering courses, each paired with its own wine.

Pampering paradise

This resort’s spa is simply incredible. Set in the forest canopy, you can indulge in a range of treatments in an open-air pavilion whilst absorbing the surrounding sounds and smells of the jungle. Treat yourself to a rejuvenating massage to the background sound of birdsong or refresh your skin with a cooling mud wrap to the soothing accompaniment of trickling water.

If you’re feeling more energetic, you might choose to trek along one of the jungle trails, encountering howler monkeys and capuchin, or embark on a water safari by boat, canoe or kayak. Alternatively, why not soak in the nearby hot springs or boost your adrenaline with a breath-taking zip-wire ride?

Nayara Resort Spa & Gardens is a firm favourite for many and it isn’t difficult to see why.

When to travel
Although a relatively small country, Costa Rica’s climate varies from its Pacific Coast to its Caribbean Coast which means there is quite a wide season of travel. For the Pacific Coast, December to April is the driest and brightest, while on the Caribbean side March to August is the best time. Avoid travel in September and October when rainfall is at its heaviest. November sees slightly less rainfall, and can be a good option as national parks can be a little quieter than the peak seasons.
How to get there
British Airways fly direct to San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital up to three times a week from London Gatwick, flight time is around 11 ½ hours. Indirect options via Europe or the US are also available, including from regional airports within the UK.
