Little Governors' Camp

Little Governors' Camp

Hidden away on the edge of the Masai Mara, Little Governors’ Camp comprises a luxury campsite of 17 stunning solar-powered tents. You are sure to stumble upon unexpected animal encounters, so make sure you bring your camera to capture these unique moments. Arriving by boat to the camp, this intimate boutique arrangement ensures that you are certain of peace and quiet during your stay.

Luxuriating under the canvas

These high-quality tents are arranged around a watering hole that is popular with local animal residents. Expect to have a warthog greet you for breakfast or an elephant come to see you at lunchtime. Tents are all equipped with ensuite bathrooms, flushing toilets, and hot and cold running water. Guests enjoy the use of a veranda with each tent, allowing you the opportunity to take in the breathtaking landscape from the sanctuary of your abode after a long day roaming the countryside by 4x4.

A la carte dining

This may be a camp site, but it is no reason to scrimp on comfort. Hot and cold breakfast and buffet lunch is provided as part of your stay. Day time meals are served out in the open air. In the evening, gather around the log fire for a restorative beer or gin and tonic. Dinner is served from an a la carte menu in the Dining Tent, to give you a real taste of Kenyan hospitality at its finest.

Big game adventures

By day, head out on one, or all, of the three game drives that depart camp each day. Take a picnic or organise a Bush Meal to make a day of it. See if you can spot an elusive leopard. Count how many herds of giraffe you come across. Marvel at the beauty of seas of flamingos who have made the Masai Mara their home.
