Le Quartier Français Hotel

Le Quartier Français Hotel

Located in the heart of the Franschhoek winelands, there is nowhere quite like Le Quartier Francais. Explore the vineyards and region at leisure and then return to the warm hospitality of this luxury auberge. This extraordinary hotel offers so much more than a simple place to stay, with unrivalled attention to detail and superb customer service, Le Quartier Francais will become one of your favourite destinations.

Relaxing guest accommodation

Elegance and comfort are provided in outstanding style in each of the gorgeously designed rooms. Richly coloured fabrics combine with classic creams and whites for tasteful accents, and plush furniture and sumptuous bathrooms provide a welcome comfort after a busy day. Every consideration has been thought of to make your stay at Le Quartier Francais as comfortable as possible, and requests are met with a smile from the wonderful staff.

Fabulous dining

With two gourmet restaurants to choose from at Le Quartier Francais, there are taste sensations to suit every palate. Visit La Colombe for a fine dining experience prepared with flair and imagination from the world-class chefs. Alternatively, try Protégé where the style is informal and casual but the food is always sublime. Watch the chefs at work at the central show kitchen, then savour all the flavours along with a choice of fine wines from the region.

Relax or play

Relax in the sun by the side of the gorgeous pool, treat yourself to a spa or wellness pamper session, or find a shady corner with a good book and a chilled glass of wine - the choice is yours. For the adventurous, walking, biking and horse riding will allow you to explore Franschhoek a bit closer. Take a picnic into the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve or saunter around the local market, play a round of golf, visit a vineyard or one of several art galleries.

However you choose to spend your holiday, Le Quartier Francais is the perfect retreat, and memories made here will last a lifetime.

before you go

Everything you need to know before planning your dream trip

When to travel
November to February is the busiest time, but March to April and September to October are popular. Whale watchers should visit July to October, whilst May to October is a good time for safaris – it can get cold on game drives so pack a fleece.
How to get there
Your holiday will begin with a British Airways or Virgin Atlantic flight from Heathrow to Johannesburg, or British Airways to Cape Town – the average flying time about 11 hours, although as there is only a 1 hour time difference there’s no tedious jet lag
