La Sultana Oualida

La Sultana Oualida

Perched on the banks of a picturesque flamingo-studded lagoon, just south of Casablanca, La Sultana Oualidia is a cooling oasis perfect for relaxation and restoration.

Sleep in Moorish style

This Moorish fort has been restored by master craftsmen in traditional brickwork and wood, and its neutral cooling palette provides welcome respite from the Moroccan sun. Rooms are lavishly appointed with flowing linens and sumptuous bedding. The Panorama room features a private terrace, whilst, for the more adventurous, the Tree House room is carved into a tree overlooking the lagoon.

Spectacular service

Staff at La Sultana Oualidia have one main aim: to make you feel like royalty. Whether you want to enjoy a picnic by the lagoon, organise a bird safari or head out on a fishing excursion, nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant is set up for dining under the stars. Serving the finest local vegetables and fish freshly plucked from the sea, you are assured of a culinary experience to savour. Oysters from the local oyster farm are a speciality.

Surf the waves

La Sultana Oualidia is close to a surfing school which has for decades made this part of Morocco a favourite with surf aficionados. For a more serene seaside experience, why not learn to paddleboard? Or for those who prefer dry land, perhaps a horse ride on the beach would fit the bill? On Saturdays, pay a visit to the local medina to pick up some souvenirs, and for pure relaxation, head to the spa for traditional hammam therapies.

Featuring Jacuzzis, saunas, indoor and outdoor pools, and a range of massage and beauty therapies, it is the perfect place to unwind. La Sultana Oualidia has been dubbed the Montauk of Morocco by Vogue USA, and in these chilled out yet sumptuous surroundings, it is not hard to see why.
