Kings Pool Luxury Camp

Kings Pool Luxury Camp

Watching an elephant crossing the channel, just beyond the thatched sala of your luxurious tent with its own veranda and private plunge pool, and glorious views over the beautiful lagoon, you will begin to appreciate why Kings Pool was once a private retreat for Scandinavian royalty.

Stylishly convivial

Overlooking an oxbow lagoon in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, which borders Chobe National Park, this camp of just nine luxurious tents is fully powered by solar. It includes a stylish bar area set on raised decks, with an open-air 'kgotla' for outdoor evening dining and a pool to enjoy.

Decorated in the subtle blues, browns and ochres of the surrounding landscape, the camp is restful, comfortable and convivial. The team here are expert, welcoming and flexible; able to tailor your programme of activities in response to local conditions.

Elephants galore

The Linyanti River and its lake are home to a particularly large elephant population which can swell to amazingly high numbers during the dry winter months. Delight in observing huge elephant feet and trunks at eye-level from the camp's unique sunken hide. The area is also excellent for viewing wildlife such as zebra, giraffe and buffalo, but also more exotic animals like the lechwe, kudu and impala, as well as lions, cheetah, leopards and wild dog.

Safaris and cruises

Immerse yourself in the wonders of a bush safari on morning and afternoon game drives and then unwind before dinner with an indulgent massage. Take a magical sunset cruise on the colonial-style Queen Sylvia barge along the Linyanti River and be thrilled by the excitement of an after dark safari .For an up close and slower paced way to experience the wonders of nature take a walk with an expert guide.

Kings Pool stimulates your senses, connects you with the wild and promises an unforgettable experience.
