Stretching across three private islands in the Indian Ocean, the Maldivian resort of Kanuhura is the ultimate upmarket retreat for adventure-seekers. It’s a place for barefoot luxury on pristine beaches and lush tropical gardens, with a range of unforgettable experiences on offer.

Excellent Accommodation

There are 80 beach villas at Kanuhura, each of which are furnished in a modern style with natural materials and wooden decks overlooking the sea. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and includes a variety of amenities, including air-conditioning, mini bars and satellite TV. For the ultimate luxury experience, the spectacular Grand Beach Pool Villa has its own private plunge pool.

Eating and Drinking

Kanuhura is a gourmet paradise, with a selection of excellent restaurants and private dining areas serving traditional Maldivian dishes and international cuisine. Veli serves Asian fusion dishes on the beach, and at A Mano, guests sit at live cooking stations to watch expert chefs conjure up creative dishes. For light meals, healthy drinks and takeaway picnics, head to Deli. Cowry Club mixes cocktails next to the pool, and at the Iru Beach Bar, you can sip drinks in relaxing tepees and hammocks. Guests can also enjoy beachfront barbecues, candlelit dinners in the Chef’s Herb Garden or host a private dinner party on a neighbouring island.

A Variety of Unique Experiences

Voted the world’s best spa by National Geographic Traveller magazine, the Kokaa Wellness Retreat and Spa offers a variety of treatments, yoga and meditation classes. Fitness-related activities include gym workouts, beach boxing and aqua fitness. Bicycles can be hired free of charge, and there’s an array of watersports available to try. You can even go on a boat excursion to a deserted island for a real castaway experience. Kanuhura is ideal for those who want to enjoy both adventure and tranquillity in luxurious surroundings.
