This was my second trip to the beautiful island of Seychelles, but my first time experiencing this level of luxury!

It is one of the most beautiful island archipelagos on earth. It certainly lived up to this reputation, soft white beaches, lush wilderness filled with wildlife.

On arrival off my direct British Airways flight from London Heathrow we were meet by our representative and taken to their lounge in the airport and offered a cold towel and fresh water. Our transfer was waiting directly outside the airport terminal and we were whisked away on our adventure.

The driver was happy to chat and tell us a few things about this beautiful island. We passed through Victoria the smallest city in the world and were pointed out some interesting local sights. We arrived at the port and our luggage was taken directly from us ready to board the ferry to Praslin. It was about an hour’s journey in lovely sunshine. The journey it gave us opportunity to see different islands on the way.

We were met on arrival into Praslin and taken on the short 20 minutes journey to Raffles Seychelles. We were greeted at Raffles by a few friendly faces and a seamlessly check-in ensured we were in our room within a few minutes. The room was amazing with our own pool and a view of the sea, what more do you need? We really enjoyed our four night stay in the resort; enjoying the atmosphere and food. The tandoori night was one a highlight!

During our stay on Praslin we visited Anse Lazio beach only 3km away from the hotel. This beach has been voted one of the best in the world, and it really did not disappoint, powder white sand and turquoise blue water. If you want to stay here for the day then there are a couple of local restaurants where you can enjoy lunch. The hotel can provide a car to the beach at a small charge or you can use one of the bikes that are readily available to guests.

The hotel offers different things for guest to enjoy from snorkelling tours to hiking – as much or as little as you wish to keep everyone entertained.

After a relaxing four days in resort we were off to our next island. This time we opted for a helicopter transfer, this is the best and most efficient way to get around the Seychelles, you also get a birds eye view of everything. We left Raffles after a delicious breakfast escorted to their helipad and away we went.

Just a short 15 minute flight and we arrived at Fregate Island Private. On arrival to the island we were amazed that we were able to see the island Tortoise from up in the air. They looked like lots of large rocks on the ground until we got closer. Fregate is home to more than 3500 of these amazing creatures that can live to over 200 years. It felt like we were arriving on a mini Galapagos. As soon as we landed we were met by our butler and whisked straight off to our villa for check-in.

What can I say? We walked into our villa and could not believe the sheer size ! It was just like being at home. Living room, dining room, bedroom and of course a large private swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Why would you want to leave this place? The view, the location and the privacy. Everything you wanted was provided in your villa and it was all included in the rate. A well-stocked wine and mini-fridge, a bottle of rum and vodka and lots of different types of food to eat, my favourite were the chocolate brownies. If this was not enough you can order anything you like from the room service menu which will be set up in your room.

We could not wait to get into our buggy that was provided for us for the duration of our stay to explore. This island really does take you back to nature it even has its own private beach just for you if you wish to spend the day there. Fregate is very eco-friendly and grows as much as it can. It offer lots of activities from water sports, hiking trails and night nature walks. I feel very lucky to have spent three wonderful days here.

My parting gift was a packet of tissues, and believe me you will use these whilst waving goodbye to this amazing island.

Our last stop was Four Seasons Resort Seychelles. On arriving to the resort we were quickly shown our room with the most amazing view. The beach and snorkelling was particularly good at this resort, but one of the best things was the sunset. Make sure you visit the spa – the highest point of the resort. We sat and sipped cold champagne whilst watching the sunset. It was beautiful ! It was a perfect end to the perfect holiday.
