As a lover of all things Asia, I was delighted to be returning to Malaysia and this time, to experience three unique and different properties, all part of the YTL Hotel Group. My first stop was the secluded Tanjong Jara Resort which had the most stunning location facing the South China Sea. The transfer over from Kuala Lumpur was a short 50 minute flight followed by a 70 minute land transfer. Tanjong Jara guarantees completely relaxation with its award-winning spa, excellent dive school and nearby 18-hole golf courses, I was lucky enough to experience all of the facilities this unique resort had to offer before I left for my next venture, a stay at the iconic Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
Returning the dazzling city of Kuala Lumpur, The Majestic Hotel offers a retreat in the midst of the bustling city. Set just outside the main centre, yet central enough to enjoy the city, it did not take me long to take advantage of the luxury shuttle to and from Starhill Gallery. Short but sweet, my stay here consisted of enjoying signature cocktails in the Majestic Wing Lounge Bar, dining at the very British, Colonial Caféand immersing myself in one of the largest city rooms I have stayed in, Tower Wing Deluxe Room.
Last, but not least was Pangkor Laut Resort, the only resort to be situated on the beautiful paradise island of Pangkor Laut. This resort offered a true, private island escape, so secluded, I stayed in a stunning bungalow built on stilts overlooking the azure waters of the ocean. On the first day of my arrival, I enjoyed a private cruise around the lush island which took us from Royal Bay Beach and round to Emerald Beach where I later dined on fresh lobster and steak while enjoying the Malaysian sunset. The next few days consisted of complete relaxation and enjoying everything that the resort had to offer.
The spa treatment I immersed myself into was more of an experience in itself, I enjoyed a 45 minute pre-spa which really helps to relax you ready for your treatment. Everything from the stunning suites, expansive spa treatments and incredible culinary experiences was faultless.
