It wasn’t the end. It was just the beginning for Theo and Olivia. Back home in Manchester, Theo kept their Jamaican dream alive. Throughout the cold British winter, he sent Olivia fragrant bouquets of pink, red and purple hibiscus flowers and in the spring, he told her that she was his one love and asked her to marry him. She said yes. Their first dance was to ‘Stir it Up’ and then they returned to Jamaica for their honeymoon. Where else? It was as magical as their first visit, but different, because they were different. It was the most romantic place on earth. It’s silken sand, turquoise waters, lush jungle and breathtaking sunsets made it a perfect honeymoon destination. They wandered through scented botanical gardens serenaded by exotic birds and decorated with tropical butterflies. They took time to appreciate the astonishing natural beauty all around them. They sailed in a glass bottom boat to Booby Cay and explored a magical underwater world, snorkelling in the warm sea, amid vibrant coral reefs. They visited Seven Mile Beach and went horse riding on the shore. They discovered that Jamaica is known as the ‘Land Of Wood and Water’ and they drifted on a bamboo raft down the Rio Grande. They discovered hidden gems off the beaten track, like the cool pools of Mayfield Falls, and they laughed at the famous Laughing Waters, featured in the James Bond film, Dr. No, when Ursula Andress emerges singing from the sea. Later, they sailed into the sunset on a catamaran cruise, sipping fruity cocktails on deck as the horizon was lit up with pink and orange. Back on land, they indulged in a luxurious couples massage in their hotel spa. They danced and dined barefoot by candlelight on gourmet dishes of fresh seafood.

On their last day, they discovered the awe-inspiring Luminous Lagoon, home to millions of sparkling dinoflagellates that light up the water with a glistening green glow.

Theo vowed to return to Jamaica, year-after-year to renew their love for each other, but Olivia looked sad. She told him that she was longing to start a family so exotic travel would have to wait until their children were grown up. Theo didn’t want to spoil their magical honeymoon with an argument but he knew he wasn’t ready to settle down. He wanted to have more adventures. Had they made a mistake in getting married so fast?
