Gili Lankanfushi

Gili Lankanfushi

Located on a private coral island in the North Malé Atoll in the Maldives, Gili Lankanfushi welcomes guests to experience beautiful tropical scenery and pure relaxation. Although it’s an eco-resort passionate about sustainability and preserving the environment, that’s not to say it cuts back on luxury living.

Eco elegance

In line with the resort’s eco-philosophy, accommodation is constructed from teak, palm wood and bamboo which have been sourced in sustainable ways. The room toiletries are organic and earthenware containers are used as much as possible. All guests are also provided with bamboo bicycles to get around the resort.

Accommodation takes the form of luxury villas and residences, some of which have their own Jacuzzi, private gym and steam room. Over-water villas are accessed by wooden causeways over the sea and feature sun-drenched terraces, open-air living rooms and Bose surround sound systems.

Dine in style

The Main Restaurant serves a range of healthy breakfasts and dinners on open-air tables, while the ocean-facing By the Sea restaurant offers Japanese feasts and an extensive range of sake. The Overwater Bar specialises in salads with fresh ingredients from the resort’s gardens, catch-of-the-day seafood and coconut martinis. To finish off your meal, head to Fini Fini for homemade ice cream and cocktails.

The Dining Experience offers a different menu and eating location each night with European-Maldivian fusion dishes made with ingredients from the Gili organic garden.

Activities

If you want to unwind, visit the Meera Spa and choose from a range of traditional Ayurvedic treatments. The clear sea is perfect for snorkelling and diving, and the resort offers regular boat rides to the best locations for surfing.

Other water activities include windsurfing, water skiing, wakeboarding, catamaran sailing, dolphin cruises and big game fishing. A fitness centre and tennis court is available too if you’d rather stay on dry land.
