Etosha Mountain Lodge
If you want to spend time in the Namibian wilderness, then Etosha Mountain Lodge makes a fabulous choice. The lodge is situated within Etosha Heights, an exclusive, private game reserve that borders Etosha National Park. Guests of the lodge can expect nine Namibian-style chalets, all of which feature panoramic views over the African bush. There is also a swimming pool to cool you down during those balmy African days, and a gorgeous, shady communal area, known locally as a ‘Lapa’.
Tracking game and wildlife
You’ll certainly have no time to get bored during your stay. Etosha Mountain Lodge offers a captivating programme of activities, including morning and afternoon game drives, where you’ll venture into the private reserve in search of wildlife. The reserve was formerly used for hunting, but has now been repurposed as a safari area committed conservation that visitors can explore. Highlights of this particular part of Namibia include big cat tracking, observing elephants in their natural habitat, scanning the horizon while sipping a refreshing drink and watching the daily happenings at the camp’s waterhole. During your stay, the chance to track endangered rhino is also offered - these powerful creatures are one of the region’s biggest draws.
