Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat
Bushmans Kloof is a luxurious and unique wilderness reserve and wellness retreat located on the foothills of the Cederberg Mountain. The spectacular setting is on South Africa’s lesser-visited western coast and the location is an escapist’s paradise set among traditional bush art sites that date back over 10,000 years. The natural landscape, meanwhile, includes sandstone formations as well as wide open African plains. This property has been selected as one of National Geographic's Unique Lodges of the World and is situated only three hours’ drive from Cape Town. At this splendid site, visitors can encounter native wildlife, experience local culture, enjoy sensational scenery and savour superb cuisine.
Rich and rustic rooms
The 7,000 hectare Bushmans Kloof reserve features a range of native flora and fauna, amongst which a range of stunning rooms, suites and villas are set. A maximum of 34 guests can be accommodated at any one time. Rooms are decorated in soothing neutrals complemented by soft greens and various floral hues, and feature rich, dark wood and rustic woven furnishings. Room amenities include luxury linens and pampering toiletries as well as modern facilities such as WiFi, air-conditioning and underfloor heating.
Cape Cuisine
Authentic Cape specialities comprise the cuisine of Bushmans Kloof. An organic kitchen garden provides much of the fresh fare from which sublime dishes are crafted by expert chefs, and the ethos is to serve up food that combines the traditional and the contemporary. Fine South African wines are served with dinner and the hotel also has its own cellar containing French cognacs and champagnes. Guests can enjoy an authentic South African barbecue, known as a braai, savour an exquisite high tea or take a tour of the on-site organic garden too.

The Spa at Bushmans Kloof is an award-winning sanctuary away from the stresses and strains of everyday life, offering superb signature rituals and treatments that make full use of African plant extracts like cape aloe, baobab tree oil and rooibos tea.
