&Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp

&Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp

&Beyond Kichwa Tembo is a tented camp where the great plains meet the riverine forest and the annual migration thunders past. It has it’s own private airstrip with two scheduled flights a day, just a short 30-minute drive from the camp.

Perfect moments

There are so many opportunities for perfect moments at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo, you will never want to leave. Experience the Great Migration for yourself, with herds of gazelles, zebras and wildebeest travelling to permanent water holes, closely followed by their hopeful predators.

Glide through the early morning sky in a hot air balloon and watch the landscape and wildlife awaken from above. Take a bush walk along the Oloololo Escarpment or Mara River for a chance to spot some legendary African wildlife, or simply relax on the veranda looking over the Serengeti plain.

Maasai culture

Our English-speaking Maasai guide will show you round the traditional Maasai village where he lives. Learn about the traditional and modern Maasai life and visit the local craft centre to stock up on authentic gifts.

Safari choices

At &Beyond Kichwa Tembo, there are a variety of options for safari. Ride out on horseback for a close encounter with plains game. The well-trained horses will trot along next to giraffes, gallop to catch up with zebra and canter along with wildebeest to give you an extraordinary experience.

Choose a game drive and you can expect to see a wealth of wildlife, whatever time of year you visit. Keep an eye out for the Mara’s black-maned lion and other big cats such as leopards and cheetahs. Get close to the intricate detail of the riverbank with our walking safari. Enjoy watching the exploits of dung beetles, chameleons and gazelles, under the expert gaze of one of the naturalist guides. Your visit is bound to be an unforgettable experience.
