El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel

El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel

El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel lies between the Santa Ynez mountains and the Pacific Ocean, in the heart of the American Riviera. Occupying a lofty position in the hills, the hotel boasts seven acres of gardens. Close by, there are both mountains and miles of coastline to explore - as well as Californian vineyards within easy reach.

California Colonial

Established in 1918, El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel blends Spanish Colonial with classic 1920s Californian style. Accommodation at the resort comprises of bungalows, suites and speciality suites, and decor combines timeless elegance with modern amenities. King sized beds, generous bathtubs and marble bathrooms are complemented by LCD HDTVs, iPod docks and Nespresso coffee machines. Many of the deluxe and premier bungalows each feature their own private, furnished patio or balcony. Suites, meanwhile, are packed with character, and offer more living space. Speciality suites have separate living rooms with feature fireplace, dining area and even a kitchenette, as well as a private terrace.

The Californian Larder

The Dining Room and Terrace at El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel is one of Southern California’s best eateries. Local, seasonal product inspires the menu, which, added to the inventive flair of our chefs, creates a mouth-watering gastronomic feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. Ocean views can be enjoyed from the outside terrace, the coast’s natural larder from which your dinner’s ingredients may well have been sourced. El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel also has The Lounge, which offers light lunches and delectable afternoon teas - and it, too, has magnificent views over the Pacific Ocean.

Switch off, sugar

When you’re not exploring the beaches or hiking in the hills, the spa at El Encanto provides a peaceful sanctuary to retreat to. Featured seasonal spa rituals, such as the Sugar Scrub, can be booked, or enjoy a mani or pedicure with lush garden views. Other features include a fitness studio, plus eucalyptus steam rooms.
