Belmond Eastern and Oriental Express

Belmond Eastern and Oriental Express

The Belmond Eastern and Oriental Train allows discerning travellers to enter a world of timeless elegance as they embark upon this fabled journey by rail. Enjoy superb comfort and classic glamour as you travel between the vibrant, colourful cities and ancient wonders of the exotic East. This truly is a magical voyage that combines the ultimate in relaxation, exploration and adventure. Itineraries centre around the route between Bangkok and Singapore via Kuala Lumpur, with Thailand and Malaysia at the very heart of every trip.

A range of vintage cabins

The Belmond Eastern and Oriental Train boasts smart gold, cream and green carriages with interior cherry wood panelled details. Colour accents are courtesy of Malaysian embroidered textiles and Thai silks, while interest is added by original vintage items. Inside each fully air-conditioned cabin is an en-suite shower room with premium toiletries and hairdryer, while on board the train, 24-hour service and entertainment are yours to enjoy. Pullman cabins are full of authentic vintage charm, with plush daytime seating that converts to a bed by night. State cabins are more spacious, light and airy, and provide the ideal setting for admiring the passing landscape, while Presidential cabins feature additional touches of luxury such as Wi-Fi and a complimentary mini bar.

Exquisite, elegant dining

Dining on board is the feast that follows a day of visiting tea plantations, coastal resorts, lush jungle, former colonial towns and tiny villages. Elegantly presented dishes that are flawlessly executed are the speciality of the on-board chefs, who aim to rival the best restaurants in the world. Lunch and dinner are served daily in the restaurant car, while a continental breakfast is delivered to your private cabin each morning as you start another exciting day. By night, you can sip an expertly mixed signature cocktail as you traverse the east by rail.
