AmanBagh

AmanBagh

Nestled among the foothills of the Aravalli Hills in the colourful Indian state of Rajasthan lies Amanbagh. The hotel is ideally located for tiger-spotting trips - as it is close to Sariska Tiger Reserve - and also offers visitors the chance to sample exquisite Indian and Western cuisine. Add to this yoga by the lake, a holistic spa, swimming in a 33-metre outdoor pool and local village excursions, and you’ll see how Amanbagh really can offer you the holiday of a lifetime.

Colourful Rajasthan

Amanbagh is around an hour-and-a-half’s drive from Jaipur, India’s “pink city”, where there is an international airport. Rajasthan is highly popular with visitors to India and is fabled for its colourful cities, ancient architecture and wild tigers, as well as rugged, majestic scenery. Amanbagh was formerly owned by the Maharaja of Alwar, who used the area for royal tiger hunts, and the estate is now a peaceful and picturesque garden filled with fruit, palm and eucalyptus trees. The building itself is Mughal-inspired and features vaulted entrances and rose-coloured cupolas. It is a tranquil and utterly private retreat.

Luxury among lush gardens

Accommodation at Amanbagh comprises 37 pavilions and suites, all of which feature either a terrace or courtyard and a spacious bathtub crafted from green Udaipur marble. Each pool pavilion also has its own private swimming pool. The rooms are set in lush, tropical gardens, abundant in fruit trees and flowering plants, which make a pleasant, green contrast to the arid Aravalli Hills beyond.

Authentic Indian dining

Indian cuisine is popular all over the planet, and is celebrated for its dishes that use fragrant spices to add layer upon layer of delicious flavour. There are plenty of dishes to tempt both vegetarians and meat-lovers, and the food at Amanbagh draws upon traditional family recipes that have been in use for many generations. The skilled chefs offer lighter version of classic Indian dishes as well as a selection of international specialities, all of which can be made to suit your exact requirements.
