Thailand Luxury Holidays

The Land of Smiles

Natural beauty and historical riches

Still considered the top of the tree when it comes to places to escape to in Asia

With its charismatic blend of golden beaches, lush rural landscapes, and charming culture, Thailand leaves little to be desired when it comes to choosing the perfect holiday destination. From idyllic islands to energetic cities, there’s a whole host to see and do. Our Thailand luxury holidays offer plenty of opportunities for relaxation and adventure in some of the country’s most wonderful locations.

North

The lively city of Chiang Mai is located in the mountainous northern region and is packed full of traditional culture and historical splendour. In the moated Old Quarter, you’ll find the city’s three iconic temples: Wat Phra Singh, Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Chiang Man, surrounded by a charming wooden homes and leafy gardens. Meanwhile, the New Quarter houses the city’s eclectic dining and shopping scene.

Chiang Mai is known for its handicrafts, which include woodcarvings, lacquerware, celadon and silversmiths, and you’ll be spoilt for choice with the huge array of goods on offer. Be sure to visit one of the hillside villages nearby, as well as numerous other attractions such as the Wat Phra That temple perched atop Doi Suthep, and the ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam.

East

Lush, hilly Chanthaburi constitutes the centre of Thailand’s gem trade, while offshore there’s the pretty island of Ko Samet, with its pristine beaches and dense jungle harbouring hornbills, gibbons and butterflies. Ko Chang, the largest islands in eastern Thailand, boasts similarly superb beaches and its jungled interior conceals gushing rivers and cascading waterfalls. Besides the fabulous snorkelling and diving here, activities include elephant camps, yoga classes and sumptuous spa sessions, while the smaller islands of Ko Mak and Ko Kood offer more peaceful and secluded alternatives.

South

Many of Thailand’s most famous beaches are found in the south. Off the Gulf coast is the Samui archipelago, which includes the increasingly popular Ko Samui – a trove of natural beauty with palm-fringed white sands and many 5 star Thailand hotels. Ko Pha Ngan has equally stunning beaches and hosts the party town of Hat Rin, while Ko Tao offers excellent diving opportunities. Meanwhile, off the Andaman coast, you’ll find the enchanting cluster of islands that comprise Ko Similan, with stunning scenery and spectacular coral reefs.

The island of Phuket is where you’ll find endless watersports, from kiteboarding to surfing, while Ko Lanta offers a more laid-back experience, with forested interiors and quiet, golden beaches. For those who want to party, head to Little Ko Phi Phi, which is surrounded by turquoise waters and limestone crags.

The Southern mainland consists predominantly of tropical jungle, including Khao Sok National Park, where you can admire leopards, gibbons, tigers and many bird species in their natural habitat.

West

The northwest of Thailand is a sprawling landscape of paddy fields, sugar-cane groves and orchards interspersed with several great rivers and numerous working towns. Head to Samut Songkhram to explore the authentic floating markets, or to the ancient ruins of Ayutthaya, Lopburi and Sukhothai to appreciate some of the country’s well-preserved historical art and architecture. For thrill-seekers, Umphang, with its stunning mountain scenery, is a great base for trekking and rafting.
