Palazzo Margherita

Palazzo Margherita

Built in 1892, Palazzo Margherita, Bernalda, has been lovingly restored to create a luxury boutique hotel. Set in magical gardens, with fresco ceilings and walls, the hotel’s palatial rooms preserve the heritage of the building while also offering a range of modern amenities to ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and indulgent stay.

Luxury living

Guests stay in elegant suites, all of which have a free in-room bar, a high-definition 3D TV, a Blu-ray player and a digital movie collection featuring the best in Italian cinema. For those who like to live in the lap of luxury, the Garden Suite One opens onto the courtyard garden and offers a spacious bedroom and sitting room with floor-to-ceiling windows. Another of the hotel’s most indulgent accommodation options is Suite Four, which features a Juliet balcony, a palatial bathroom with steam shower and a private terrace with views over the garden.

A range of dining options

The Palazzo has a large, welcoming kitchen where guests can watch and learn how traditional Basilicata dishes are prepared, while the Cinecittà Bar is a café and pizzeria where diners eat inside or outside. Don’t miss the chance to visit Garden Grigliata for the barbecues, where grilled seasonal vegetables and succulent meat are prepared for diners to eat al fresco in the garden.

Experiences and exploration

If you want to explore, the hotel can arrange a number of day trips and activities. Visit historic sites in the Bernalda area, wander along nature trails or go biking in the mountains.

For something more relaxing, massages, yoga and pilates classes are available. There’s also two 18-hole golf courses and tennis courts nearby, and the hotel has a swimming pool for all members of the family to enjoy.
