The end of the world

Discover a stunningly beautiful and diverse land

At times Chile seems almost otherworldly as its unique geography and awe-inspiring scenery allows you to almost forget you are still planted firmly on earth. Running for thousands of kilometres trapped between the powerful waves of the Pacific and the jagged peaks of the Andes, and book-ended by the driest desert on earth in the north and the southern ice-fields of Patagonia in the south this truly is one of the worlds last great wilderness countries

Unearth more than just stunning scenery

There is no doubt that Chile's main draw lies in its inherent natural beauty. In the north the Atacama desert is a riot of salt flats and volcanoes, geysers and rock formations, while Torres del Paine National Park in the south can easily claim its scenery competes with and even trumps with such behemoths of the National Park world as Yellowstone and Yosemite. Beyond that however is a fascinating country that boasts just about every climate in the world, from bountiful orchards and vineyards to alpine lakes and bucolic country scenes. Throughout all of these lands you will find the friendliness and warmth of the Chilean people, keen to show off their beautiful country and its secrets

Wine and Pisco

In recent years Chile has firmly established itself as one of the world's great wine producing nations with a range of reds, roses and whites to choose from. Chile's two main wine producing regions are within easy access of the capital Santiago, itself a modern metropolis, and offers luxurious vineyards in which to relax and taste. The Casablanca Valley lies between Santiago and Valparaiso and is perfect for those looking for a short break from the. For the more ardent wine enthusiast the Colchagua Valley around 3 hours south of Santiago is the holy grail of Chilean Wine. Should wine not be enough for you head north to the Elqui Valley to discover the secrets of Chile's national drink - Pisco

The unexpected delights

One of the real joys of travelling Chile is the unexpected delights it tends to throw up. Some of these are well known such Chile's Easter Island, or Rapa Nui to give it its Polynesian name, lies 5 hours off the Chilean Coast and its stoic Moai have been drawing people to visit for years. The island is most easy to access from Santiago and for those who have dreamed of witnessing its archaelogic gems in the flesh it is simply a must do on a trip to Chile. Back to the mainland and the city of Valparaiso is a UNESCO world heritage site and its hills offer a really visceral experience of what this once glorious seaport must have been like. Bohemian and gritty this city of literature and art, is like a South American Liverpool. Finally for those of an adventurous disposition the Aysen Region and the Carretera Austral road that cuts through offers one of the worlds last truly great wild road-trips through scenery that will simply take your breath away

Luxury holidays in Chile are an absolute joy. If you are looking for somewhere where the scenery will enthrall you at every turn, then you have found your destination. What is particularly special is that under the beautiful surface there is still so much more to discover here
