Situated on the banks of the Madre de Dios River in the heart of the Amazon, this incomparable lodge that is Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica will sweep you into another world. The thatched cabanas blend beautifully with the surrounding jungle and the entire resort gives the overwhelming impression of being at one with nature. For a truly unique experience filled with amazing wildlife, exquisite cuisine and unparalleled tranquillity, this is certainly the place to be.

Natural living

Featuring only 35 thatched cabanas, Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica offers a definite feel of exclusivity which only adds to its other-worldly charm. Whilst the accommodation is modest, it fits perfectly with the eco-friendly ethos of the resort and still provides guests with all necessary amenities. Although the electricity supply is inconsistent, each cabana features ceiling fans, hot water showers, lanterns and screened porches. For an added indulgence, opt for the Tambopata Suite which boasts its own lounge with hammocks, outdoor shower and private plunge pool.

Jungle dining

In keeping with the natural ambiance of the resort, the dining pavilion has been integrated sympathetically into the surroundings, around the trunk of a towering strangler fig. Savour the excellent cuisine whilst absorbing the tranquillity of the environment. In addition, the resort has its own bar where you can enjoy a cheeky cocktail or pisco sour.

Adventures and excursions

There is no end of adventures to keep you occupied during your stay at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica. Challenge yourself to trek amongst the treetops on the resort’s impressive canopy walkway, tour the forest on foot with an expert guide or enjoy a twilit boat ride along the gushing river.

Relax on one of the resort’s open-air balconies from where you can observe the profusion of wildlife all around you or gaze up at the stars by night and don’t forget to treat yourself to one of the purification treatments available in the fantastic spa where local products are used to incredible effect.
