Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo

Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica is for people who seek adventure, relaxation and luxury in a beautiful natural environment.

Relax or adventure

Time can be spent on the sun lounger on your private deck or there are lots of activities available. There is world class sports fishing, horseback riding on vast cattle ranches and the thrilling Witch’s Rock zip line where you ride high above the jungle canopy past monkeys, tropical birds and waterfalls. Relax and cleanse in the mineral-rich waters and soft volcanic mud at the side of the Rincón de la Vieja volcano.

Ocean adventures include catamaran tours, surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking and diving. The resort is ideally located to explore wild Costa Rica, its wildlife, hillsides, waterfalls and the jungle. Most of the activities at the resort are suitable for kids who love adventure and exploring.

Spa treatments

The spa offers the unique Volcanic Purification Ritual and DarkGold Peloid Body Wrap for relaxation and rejuvenation of body and mind, as well as traditional massages and beauty treatments. A tailored wellness program will help you become fitter and feel more alive with individualized exercises and yoga.

Elegant dining

There are many dining choices at this Four Seasons Resort. Enjoy delicious aperitifs and tapas at Anejo. Elegant evenings are spent at Pesce eating Italian dishes, with fine wines and panoramic ocean views. Nemare specializes in artisanal ingredients including steaks from grass-fed cattle. When to travel
Although a relatively small country, Costa Rica’s climate varies from its Pacific Coast to its Caribbean Coast which means there is quite a wide season of travel. For the Pacific Coast, December to April is the driest and brightest, while on the Caribbean side March to August is the best time. Avoid travel in September and October when rainfall is at its heaviest. November sees slightly less rainfall, and can be a good option as national parks can be a little quieter than the peak seasons.
How to get there
British Airways fly direct to San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital up to three times a week from London Gatwick, flight time is around 11 ½ hours. Indirect options via Europe or the US are also available, including from regional airports within the UK.
