Finca Rosa Blanca

Finca Rosa Blanca

Situated in the mountains of Santa Barbara in Heredia, the stunning resort of Finca Rosa Blanca is more of an estate than a mere hotel. The exceptional accommodation is set in acres of their own lush orchards and organic gardens and even boast their very own coffee plantation. For a truly unforgettable experience, this is the place to be.

Artistic accommodation

Every aspect of the Finca Rosa Blanca accommodation has been carefully crafted in loving detail, from the curvaceous architecture to the exquisite artwork adorning each room. This hotel will provide you with all the comforts of home with a few added luxuries. Amenities include ceiling fans, spacious bathrooms and mini-bar whilst special touches such as private decks or patios, organic toiletries and bathrobes also come as standard.

Costa Rican cuisine

Each mouth-watering meal prepared for your enjoyment at Finca Rosa Blanca is comprised of fresh ingredients, often gathered directly from the hotel’s expansive gardens and orchards. The extraordinary Latin fusion dishes may be served either indoors beside the roaring fire or outside on the sun-dappled terrace from where you can gaze out across the breathtaking views. Each afternoon, fresh coffee from the hotel’s coffee plantation is served with sumptuous cookies.

Unforgettable activities

Set out to tour the hotel’s wondrous coffee plantation, learning about the production process and tasting the finished product. Embark on one of the fascinating excursions available, from cultural highlands tours to volcano exploration and, if you’re feeling daring, why not try your hand at a spot of river rafting or zip-lining?

Relax and unwind in the resort’s El Targua Wellness Retreat where you can indulge in one of the many luxurious treatments available, including massages and body scrubs. Soak in the soothing hot-tub or take a dip in the fresh water pool complete with its cascading waterfall.

When to travel
Although a relatively small country, Costa Rica’s climate varies from its Pacific Coast to its Caribbean Coast which means there is quite a wide season of travel. For the Pacific Coast, December to April is the driest and brightest, while on the Caribbean side March to August is the best time. Avoid travel in September and October when rainfall is at its heaviest. November sees slightly less rainfall, and can be a good option as national parks can be a little quieter than the peak seasons.
How to get there
British Airways fly direct to San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital up to three times a week from London Gatwick, flight time is around 11 ½ hours. Indirect options via Europe or the US are also available, including from regional airports within the UK.
