Hotel Description
Peter Island Resort is hidden away on a private island sizeable
enough to get lost on, but small enough for you to rediscover each
other. This idyllic dot on the map has been dreamed up for couples
who love nature almost as much as each other, its come-hither
suites and seductive spa set off by five white sand beaches, twenty
secluded coves and miles of panoramic hiking trails. And as it
never has more than one guest per 10 acres, nor any buildings
higher than the mast of a 40ft. yacht, it's going to be a bit of a
downer returning to the real world.
You get here by private yacht from Tortola, a sublime experience
that is prolonged when you first set eyes on your luxurious
recently refurbished guest room. They overlook either Deadman's Bay
Beach or the swimming pool and marina, each one steeped in
Caribbean texture and colour, and boasting creature comforts like
CD players, mini-bars and private terraces. No TVs though as 21st
century problems are banned, although you are permitted sneak peaks
if you take one of the residential-style 3 to 6-bedroom villas that
dot the island.
Dining Information
Whilst gourmet picnic lunches are served to guests 'stranded' on
White Bay Beach, there's also a beachfront grill perfect for casual
dining, as well as the Tradewinds restaurant which serves
sophisticated local and continental dishes enhanced by dramatic
views of Drake Channel.
Amenities
In addition to the white sand beaches and hiking trails the
leisure facilities include a swimming pool, scuba-diving, tennis
courts, boat trips and a 10,000 square-foot spa with its own
pool.
