Hotel description
Sir Richard Branson's private hideaway is well-known as the
place where Hollywood A-listers enjoy temporary respite from their
fast-paced lifestyles. You and your family can also spend quality
time here, up to 28 lucky guests able to rent the island at any one
time and even couples and families able to book individual rooms
during the special 'celebration weeks'.
And what an island it is - size-wise a manageable 74-acres and
scenically quite spectacular. Verdant peaks slope down to shallow
coves, the Caribbean Sea lapping against sugar-white sands on one
side and the Atlantic Ocean crashing down on the indented shoreline
on the other. Of course the eight-bedroom Great House does justice
to these surroundings, its Balinese furnishings and Haitian
paintings set off by Mexican pottery and Brazilian timber. The
common area is anything but common with its peaked roof and
oversized couches, whilst outside are stone terraces with
awe-inspiring views, not to mention a Jacuzzi, infinity-edge pool
and the Bali Leha Spa. The result is an exotic masterpiece that
also feels surprisingly homely. And in case you need more than
eight bedrooms, six Balinese-style cottages are also dotted around
the island, each one boasting its own golf buggy so you can explore
at leisure.
