The island itself is situated in the middle of one of the largest lagoons in Faafu Atoll, the land-based accommodation comprising the three-bedroom Rania Suite and three adjoining Beach Villas all located within five metres of the lagoon. Made from palm thatch and natural woods, their five-star comforts include custom-designed furnishings, plasma TVs and home-theatre systems, all the individual villas boasting tropical outdoor showers and their own furnished private verandahs.

Staff are on call 24-hours a day to ensure you have everything you need, the ‘dine where and when you want’ policy contributing to the island’s relaxing residential ambience. The cuisine ranges from international to Pan Asian, the chefs planning simple yet creative menus that go perfectly with the traditional vintages and new world wines. Leisure
facilities include a freshwater plunge pool, fitness facilities, non-motorised water sports and scuba-diving courses; the body wraps, scrubs and massages there to make you suitably relaxed and beautiful.

But, of course, The Rania Experience is also about freedom and adventure. You also have at your disposal three hours per day a Majesty 86-foot Gulf Craft luxury cruiser with two double and two twin bedrooms. Each bedroom comes with its own TV and bathroom, general facilities including indoor and outdoor lounge and dining areas, as well as a Jacuzzi and home theatre system. Whether you use it to explore nearby islands or simply to transport you to a private sand bank for a gourmet picnic, you can’t help but wonder what all the poor folks are doing back home!
