Palm Island

Palm Island gets it just right. This upscale whole-island resort may well be an international award-winner, but nowhere conveys the easy-going ambience of the
Grenadines quite as perfectly as here. Architecturally it’s all about thatch, stone and timber, as much as possible open to reviving island breezes and mesmeric ocean views.

A similarly rustic theme applies to the accommodation, guests able to choose between quaint cottages overlooking the world-class beach or slightly larger rooms, suites and lofts set just behind in the gardens.
Everything is provided for comfortable stays, although the deliberate omission of telephones underscores the resort’s escapist nature. And who needs TV when you can watch diving pelicans, visiting yachts and dramatic sunsets?

Unsurprisingly things-to-do here focus upon the water, although the five beaches, swimming pool, nonmotorised water sports and boat trips to the Tobago Cays are supplemented by tennis and fitness facilities,
as well as panoramic nature trails. All meals and drinks are included in stays, of course, the grilled seafood lunches, beach picnics and weekly cocktail parties combining with the international cuisine of the elegant Royal Palm Restaurant to have the desired effect upon your disposition.
