A more contemporary look is on offer in the thirty-six guest rooms, most of them housed in the plantation-style cottages that line the ‘Avenue of Palms’ leading down to the beach. Their bleached wicker furnishings and pastelcoloured cottons evoke a light airy feel, whilst air-conditioning, mini-bars, coffee-makers and custom-stocked mini-bars provide all the necessary comforts. Proximity to the sea largely determines the categories, although the deluxe suites boast separate sitting rooms, whilst the premier junior suites are more spacious again and located nearest to the ocean.

Unsurprisingly the recreational focus here is either the swimming pool, hot tub or the beach, although spa, tennis and fitness facilities are also available on-site, with championship golf and water sports available nearby at the Four Seasons Nevis. And when it comes to dining, you are invited to move smoothly from your cooked breakfast in the
