New York Hotels are standard-setting and range from intimate and exclusive like the Mercer and The Lowell to large and sophisticated like the Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental. Whether you pop over for a long weekend or combine it with a trip to the Caribbean, you cannot help but be impressed by the city's energy, creativity and drive.

Sightseeing: There are some things in New York break you simply have to do - take a carriage ride through Central Park, climb the 354 steps to the top of the Statue of Liberty and take in the view from the top of the Empire State Building. Thanks to a recent clean-up campaign, even former 'no nos' like walking through Times Square are now quite acceptable, whilst the Brooklyn Bridge, Bronx Zoo and Ellis Island attract millions of visitors each year.
