| This 96-acre private island resort has been created for escapists, adventurers, honeymooners and nature-lovers - if you happen to be a combination of all four then it’s simply heaven on earth! Located just off the coast of Andros and only reached by private ferry, the island features three-miles of sugar-soft sandy beach and turquoise waters offering some of the best fishing and diving anywhere in the world.
The low-key hotel consists of just nineteen marina rooms, villa suites and cottage suites, most of them located directly on the beach and all stylishly furnished with due deference to their tropical setting. Complimentary food and beverage bars, Aveda hair and skincare products, not to mention CD players feature throughout all the accommodation, but
telephones and TVs would definitely spoil the mood.
Choose a spacious one-bedroom cottage or villa suite if you like the idea of elegant French doors and beautiful ocean views from your tub or shower, but if you are travelling with the family, the two and three-bedroom properties such as Driftwood, Mahogany and Silvertop will be more to your taste. For privacy and space, however, nothing quite beats the 4-bedroom Kamalame Cove with its elevated setting on four secluded acres attached by a narrow strip of beach to Andros Island. Not only can guests take advantage of a heated swimming pool and full-time kitchen and house staff, but also full access to the resort’s varied attractions.
All meals and drinks are included in stays here. Most guests choose to dine in the elegant environs of the aptly-titled Great House, although the beach barbecues and romantic private dinners are always popular options. And when it comes to recreational facilities, whilst most people find the three-miles of white sands, fishing trips and boat excursions provide everything they need for a rejuventating stay, the swimming pool, tennis court and non-motorised water sports are much-appreciated added bonuses. Of course, there’s no need to worry about all that sunshine and water playing havoc with your skin and hair - the luxury spa offers a long list of tropically-inspired treatments to beautify the most avid water baby.
