| This intimate hotel seems to sum up the laid-back tropical glamour that is St. Barths. Its palm-lined beach is one of the longest and prettiest on the island, its dining terrace is popular with the cognoscente and its appearance is ultra chic courtesy of an owner with her finger firmly on the pulse. In fact, not only did Mandie Vere Nicoll introduce a
more refined French ambience to the hotel, but she also bagged the Caribbean’s first Molton Brown Spa and added three more luxurious suites.
In fact, not only did Mandie Vere Nicoll introduce a more colonial French ambience to the hotel, but she also bagged the Caribbean’s first Molton Brown Spa, as well as added three luxury suites. One is an extravagant two-bedroom affair on the beach complete with its own Jacuzzi, another is a ‘Fisherman’s Cottage’ with a quaint private courtyard, whilst the third is a hillside bungalow with its own swimming pool.
Gourmet cuisine is assured here, Executive Chef Bruce Domaine having worked for several years in a French restaurant
boasting no less than three Michelin stars. His contemporary French dishes are served in La Case de l’Isle restaurant overlooking the beach, the dining experience enhanced by the fine French wines and people-watching opportunities.
And when it finally becomes necessary to work off those pleasurably-gained calories, tennis and exercise equipment are all provided on-site, with a host of water sports readily available nearby and payable locally. Most guests would agree, however, that surrendering to the rejuvenating beauty and body treatments of the stylish spa is certainly the most enjoyable way of getting in shape.
