This unassuming sanctuary lies in the Makalali Conservancy west of the Kruger National Park. It promises ‘a safari for the soul’, pampered guests able to try their hand at anything from wilderness walks and sleep-outs to outdoor bush-baths and aromatherapy sessions. Indeed visitors are encouraged to totally immerse themselves in the African experience, even the palatial half-tented guest rooms reflecting the textured earthy colours of the bush. All are located on a dry riverbed and come with draped beds, indoor and outdoor showers, as well as wooden decks commanding great views. The safari cuisine is seriously delicious, whilst the game drives are timed to suit your schedule.
