Just thirty stylishly-refurbished rooms are hidden away amidst this informal mini-paradise, most of them sharing duplex cottages set in the gardens, just three
cosy rooms and a suite overlooking the water. The superior rooms are spacious rondavels with walk-in showers and wide shaded patios, whilst the deluxe rooms are larger, newer and also equipped with airconditioning, cable TVs and semi open-air sunken showers. Standard features include ceiling fans, CD players, clock radios, mini-bars and refrigerators stocked daily with soft drinks and beers.

As a member of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, this is a hotel that takes its food and wine very seriously. The French and local chefs take advantage of local ingredients and fresh seafood to create innovative menus that change daily, the candlelit dining tables of the beachside Flamboyant Room now complemented by privatedining gazebos in the gardens. And whilst pedalos, kayaks and snorkelling are readily available from the
beach during the day, doing absolutely nothing at all is why most people come to East Winds.
