The Cotton House is as intriguing as it is beautiful. Originally an 18th century coral warehouse on the island of Mustique, Lord Glenconner gave it a new lease of life in the seventies when he created an exclusive retreat for visiting high flyers. And whilst now owned by the Mustique Company and the beneficiary of a meticulous makeover by hotel guru Grace Leo-Andrieu, its charms remain unaffected.

It stands on a panoramic hilltop between the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean, its spectacular ocean views the perfect finishing touch to its romantic interiors. Just seventeen rooms and suites provide the accommodation, mosthoused in cottages dotted throughout the grounds. Featuring private terraces, flat-screen TVs and highly-publicized ‘pillow menus’, plunge pools are recent additions in some, whilst the
2-bedroom Cotton Hill residence comes
complete with its own dedicated staff and swimming pool.

The inviting white sands of Endeavour Bay are reached by golf cart, with tennis, spa treatments, horse riding, water sports and scuba-diving all readily available. Nature hikes, sunset cruises and boat trips encourage guests to explorethe Grenadines archipelago. Equally popular are the resort’s culinary delights which combine the freshest Caribbean ingredients with imported delicacies from around the world. Lunches can be enjoyed at the laid-back Beach Café,
