Cocoa Island

Just as fashionable with the cognoscenti as its sister hotel Parrot Cay in the Turks & Caicos, Cocoa Island is an exclusive private island retreat that takes about 10-minutes to circumnavigate. Perfect snorkelling
conditions await on the house reef, whilst some of the world’s best dive sites lie nearby. Indeed, Cocoa Island is all about living life close to the water’s edge, even its architecture a creative reflection of its island setting.

All the guest accommodation has been built over the Indian Ocean, their interior designs contemporary and understated, their private sundecks boasting direct water access. The Dhoni Suites and Dhoni Loft Suites resemble Maldivian fishing boats with ample space and undisturbed ocean views; Loft Villas feature mezzanine level bedrooms, whilst the one-bedroom villas are larger again and come with bathrooms opening out onto alfresco shower areas. Distinguishing features of the two-bedroom villas include personal butlers and four sundecks overhanging the lagoon.

Water-based activities here include diving, fishing, sailing and an infinity pool, but for a relaxing change you can head straight for the COMO Shambhala Retreat with its hydrotherapy pool and Asian-inspired treatments. And if you really want to live like a castaway you can depend upon room service, or you may prefer to step ashore and dine on the Indian dishes, Sri Lankan specialities, healthy spa cuisine or fresh seafood of the main restaurant. Don’t blame us if you feel a little guilty tucking into the latter after your snorkelling safaris and dolphin viewing tours!
