Cape Town and the Winelands

Cape Town is renowned for its pristine beaches and excellent restaurants and superb local wines. Visit the Cape’s oldest wine estate, picturesque Groot Constantia, which retains many of its original Cape Dutch buildings, or take a trip to the spectacular Winelands with at least six wine routes to explore. Cultural highlights include the flower sellers of Adderley Street, The Cape Minstrel Carnival, affectionately known as Cape Town’s answer to the Mardi Gras and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, established in 1913 and now home to more than 22 000 plant species. Table Mountain might be one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature and there aren’t many visitors to the city who don’t get to the top, whether on foot or on the Cableway.
