WHEN TO TRAVEL

Such a large country has a variety of climates, which means all you need to do is decide where rather than when to visit.

But there is so much more to it. It is a state of rich contrasts waiting to be explored - dramatic landscapes of sandy beaches with crashing surf, deep forests and lakes, vineyards, galleries and world-acclaimed restaurants. It’s the home of the City of Angels where you can shop on Rodeo Drive and star spot down Hollywood Boulevard. Or lose your heart in San Francisco, one of the greatest and most cosmopolitan cities in the world.

And if you take a road trip down highway 1 and you’ll be following in the footsteps of literary greats Jack Kerouac and John Steinbeck. Its mild balmy climate is as inviting as the many attractions. So turn your California dreaming into reality.
