Whilst our featured hotels are the best available, that does not mean all of them are right for you. To some people ‘luxury’ means a secluded rustic retreat, whilst to others nothing less than a glamorous international resort will do. That is why it is so important you first read our brochure descriptions and then take advantage of our own personal knowledge. Please also note that amenities do vary from hotel to hotel and that whilst our properties offer most home comforts, in some cases air-conditioning or bathtubs may not be available for example, whilst TVs are regularly omitted if they are felt to be intrusive. Please do not hesitate to double check with us if any item is very important to you. All brochure descriptions are based upon inspections made by us or information passed to us and changes can sometimes be made with no advance notice. When we become aware of significant changes we will advise you or your travel agent as soon as possible before departure. Hotels of this calibre regularly make updates, although they tend to restrict most repairs to the low-season months or their closure periods. We will, of course, advise you of any significant maintenance work known to us at the time of your enquiry.
Some hotels particularly welcome children and throughout the brochure we have indicated if they have supervised clubs. Please note, however, that there are age restrictions and charges may apply, so please call us for more detailed information. Also please note that hotels do often impose age restrictions in lounges, restaurants and bars after dark. For safety reasons, we do not recommend that families with babies or toddlers stay in rooms with private pools.
THE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
Unless specified, our basic prices include economy class flights, but we have also negotiated excellent supplements for upgrading to premium classes of travel and these are available on request. When you arrive in your destination you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. In some cases, boat trips or sea planes are necessary or the hotel provides the transfers, and these may be shared with other guests.
PASSPORTS & VISAS
A full British Passport is required by all British Citizens for visits to all of the destinations we feature in this brochure. Most countries require that passports are valid for at least six months after leaving their country. Please be aware that from time to time requirements do change and you must check for the most up to date information relevant to your trip in good time before you travel. If you or any member of your travelling party do not hold a British Passport, you must check with the appropriate embassy or consulate of the country to which you are travelling for entry requirements. It is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure they have valid and acceptable passports, visas and any other relevant documentation for travel to your final destination and any countries in which you stop-off en route. For general passport information, please visit www.ukpa.gov.uk.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office issues frequently updated advice for those travelling outside of the UK. It provides specific information allowing the traveller to make an informed decision. For more information please visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice.
VACCINATIONS & HEALTH
Travelling to different climates can expose you to health risks. In addition to adequate travel insurance, we strongly recommend that you take advice relating to your specific needs as early as possible from either your G.P., a specialist clinic, or www.gov.uk/fco for where you are travelling.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
High and low seasons are determined by several factors including demand and weather conditions. Please note: The availability of facilities can be affected by the season or the weather, some hotel restaurants close during periods of lower occupancy or live entertainment is cut back from nightly to occasional. The advice offered is based on average climate information and should be treated as a guide only.
In general the prices shown include economy class international and (overseas) internal flights, accommodation in low season based upon 2 sharing (unless otherwise stated), meals as detailed, mandatory hotel taxes and service charges, UK departure taxes and passenger service charges, the services of representatives (where applicable), as well as private transfers (where applicable). Please note that on some meal plans, hotels will restrict which restaurants you can eat in and a credit will be given when eating in à la carte venues. In fully-inclusive resorts, drinks usually exclude champagne and beverages are only served by the glass. The prices shown are the minimum available and individual quotations may be given based upon your date and class of travel, as well as your preferred room grade.
